------------------------------

Shelloth is the Weaver in the Darkness and spinner of the strands of fate. From her hole in the underworld of Irkalla she ever spins her webs - each tendril testing and tempting mortals and immortal alike to their doom.

The spider elves of Toonela have taken to the worship of this fearsome being as the embodiment of their environment and weaver of the fate of themselves and their foes. Those who she deems 'worthy' can be transformed into driders - foul centaur-like beings combining the upper torso of folk (often an elf) with the eyes and hindquarters of a giant venomous spider.

Even her most ardent worshipers fear her - although she grants a degree of power over destiny and darkness she can be capricious and cruel, even to those who might love her the most dearly.
