Background:
Aneneil Grovestrider was raised in a noble house of the elvish kingdom of Andulan, growing up in the outskirts of it's capitol city of Etain. As a noble lady of an old and esteemed family she was raised in the Songs of the Ancients and the Songs of the Hearth, expected to birth and raise a new generation that would preserve the songs of her people.
But it was the Song of the Forest that called to young Aeneil, and with every opportunity given or stolen she would wander out into the great forests that surrounded her homeland. There she learned the ways of the tracker, and of the bow and blade, and even the Songs of Beasts which allowed her to command the lesser denizens of the wood.
One day she came across a solitary rootwalker named Blackleaf defending himself against a slasher vine. Without hesitation, she joined the fray with flurry of arrows to aid the beleaguered walker. Victorious, the two became fast friends and even now share a bond that even they cannot fully explain.
Leaving behind her people to better learn the Song of the Traveller, Aeneil explores the world with Blackleaf ever by her side. She has walked the great halls of Dvalinn, survived the dangers of the Thyilean coast, endured the icy forests and fearsome Bloodlords of Strzygia.
But still she wants to see more - and perhaps somewhere is the great wide world there is even a place that she and her friend might call home.
