Saathi is the Serpent Queen, an ancient draconic goddess.
For human civilizations her worship goes at as far back to the founding of Agade (modern Al-Akkad), and her cult was prominent among the ruling dynasts of Amenthes. As mother to the Naga, she is the supreme patron diety of the Isle of Naga Lanka.
Saathi is wise and patient, but also cruel and cunning; and she values these very same traits on her worshipers as well, which might go far to explain her appeal to those who seek to gain or hold on to power.
Even among thought who might otherwise revile her nature she remains the premiere patron of magic, and her symbol of the coiled serpent is still the most common found in mystic texts.
