Kami-no-michi (Way of the Spirits) is the native religion of Oyashima.
This religion worships many gods- or rather it honors and fears them, giving precedence to whatever deity or force is of use or threat as of the moment. This is a practical religion- devoted to protecting the folk from the negative influence of divine and hostile forces rather than granting slavish devotion to any singular power.
Note that this is not an evangelical faith- adherents believe that the path of the spirit is an individual quest, and there is no one true way to enlightenment in this world.
