There are 9 elected members of the ETHICOMP steering committee who sit for a duration of three ETHICOMPs. At the end of each ETHICOMP, 3 positions on the steering committee become available for re-elected or new members.

At the end of ETHICOMP 20XX:

1. Nominees will be approached by the SC and asked to confirm acceptance of the nomination;

2. Nominees will be required to write a short paragraph about what they will bring to the ETHICOMP steering committee;

3. Elections will be held electronically. Attendees of the past three ETHICOMPs will be able to vote.
