Conference Chair:
The conference chair is the individual who holds overall responsibility for the conference and ensures coordination and collaboration between the other officers involved. They will represent the ETHICOMP conference externally and is responsible for advertising / marketing.The conference chair will normally liaise with keynote speakers and shape the overall content of the conference.
Programme Chair:
The programme chair is responsible for the academic content of the conference. This includes
development of the call for papers, including
format,
deadlines
tracks and track chairs
distribution of the call
focus on practice
attract younger participants
organisation of the peer review process
acceptance / rejection of submission
collection of papers
preparation of proceedings
Organising Chair:
The organising chair is the local representative of ETHICOMP who looks after
venue, including rooms for keynotes and parallel streams
accommodation
registration
pricing and payments
social programme
Track Chairs:
Track chairs will be responsible for
promoting their particular track
organising peer review for the track (in collaboration with the programme chair)
acceptance / rejection of papers for their track
timely collection of final papers and forwarding to programme chair
Rotation:
It may be a good idea to have a regular rotation between chairs to ensure continuity and have regular rotations. The organising chair will be invited become next time's programme chair and the programme chair will be invited to be the next conference chair.
