ETHICOMP procedures (affecting ETHICOMP 2018)
Proposal from the community to allow for "soft rejections", i.e. ability to revise & resubmit within a certain time/challenge reviews. (CF)
generally accepted that the future ETHICOMPs will have a "soft reject" option with the ability to revise & resubmit, made clear to submitters and also to track chairs/programme chairs etc.
Options on the above for ETHICOMP 2018
discussion about different options: 1) no change; 2) allow authors to revise and resubmit; 3) conflicting reviews receive a third review by SC member
After much discussion, a vote was held and there was agreement to discuss future ETHICOMP procedures to include soft reject but for the current decisions to hold.
