ETHICOMP 2015
Joint conference
advantages
there was a general feeling that it may be worth trying, but there are concerns that need to be
concerns
fairness and transparency of the review process
ability to publish papers if all are the same
having ETHICOMP in North America would be a change
will we dilute, if we continue to work with the other organisations
this could be addressed by decision to hold the 2016
it is not clear whether this will really ease financial pressures
questions to joint organisers
can people submit to all three conferences separately?
how can we streamline the organisation
have a general chair to coordinate decisions
Decision
2015 ETHICOMP stand-alone, maybe in DMU
Action: Bernd notify the SC, ask for possible venues, organisers.
Update ETHICOMP 2014
Simon to chair a panel on the 25th
Questions / closing on the 27th
Quite a few papers still outstanding
Action: Catherine to circulate position paper on the topic end of March
Any other business
Action: Gosia to launch social media activities
