I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Oregon and have over 15 years of experience providing psychotherapy. I have been a long-time member of the American Psychological Association and abide by its code of ethics. I earned a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University (2003), and completed an internship at Emory University (2002) and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Georgia Institute of Technology (2004).
I grew up in Indiana and lived in Georgia and Colorado prior to moving to Oregon in 2013. I have worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals and university counseling centers, and in several roles, including staff psychologist, university professor, and supervisor of psychologists in training.
Over the years, I have gained a broad range of experiences working with many people from diverse backgrounds. I have an understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures, worldviews, and spiritual paths. People generally find that I am warm, genuine, and easy to talk with, and I strive to provide an interpersonal environment that is emotionally safe and respectful.
