For October's Poem of the Month I have chosen the poem 'Drone' by Paul Laughlin. It is taken from his new collection The New Accord.

There’s no downside to drones.
-Bradley Jay Strawser
There is no downside to drones
Not the secret kill lists compiled
Not the weddings and funerals defiled
Not the widows left to ask why
Not the orphans watching the sky
Not the justice routinely denied
Not the guilt unproven but implied
Not the extension of target zones
And not the murder all this condones
