Poem Of The Month: August 2016

For August's Poem of the Month, I have chosen the poem 'End Game' by Vivienne Hanna-Artt.

It is taken from her collection 'Blue Moon Rising'.

END GAME

Andromeda flickers

and goes out.

Sky-weeds shrink and shrivel.

Black holes harry star-shells

in their headlong flight.

Night’s needle etherizes light.

On blinded Earth the snows

turn black.

The moon runs down the sky

like candle wax.
