The instruction library is a reference guide for all participating partners to further develop organization's capacity to use best practices while developing literacy skills. The library is a bridge to various resources that align with the overall goals of the Data Collaborative.
How do you use it?

You can use the instructional library three ways. The first is by Resource - what supports do you need? The second is by Skill - what skills are you working on? The third is to Download the library in its entirety.

Review your data first to identify the needs in your classroom, site, or organization.
Use the Explicit Instruction Cheat Sheets to plan instruction for effective literacy lessons.
Use the Lesson Plans to support you and your staff in being intentional with your approach to developing activities for your students.
Use the Student Activities in small-group or one-to-one settings that support and reinforce whole group instruction to provide additional practice for students.
Use the Mini-Training slide presentations as training for a particular pre-reading skill (eg Phonics, High-Frequency Words). These empowering lessons can be implemented immediately for student success. Review them before using the instructional strategies or activities.
Mastery Tasks provide you with information about how students are mastering skills in between formal assessments (i-Ready).
Observation Tools are tools that we use to keep ourselves accountable. They allow us to measure the quality of our instruction practices.
