Care Homes
We give support, training and funding to care homes in the region to help them get involved in research.
The Enabling Research in Care Homes (ENRICH) network brings together care home staff, residents and their families with researchers. It provides a toolkit of resources to help care homes make the most of research; and researchers to set up and run studies effectively and collaboratively in care homes.
By getting involved, care homes can:
Be recognised by the CQC (Care Quality Commission) and the NIHR as an organisation that is research active
Enable residents to feel they benefit greatly by taking part in research that can make a difference in future
Help staff gain opportunities to develop themselves through learning about research, new treatments and practice, which can increase morale
Access treatments which are not always widely available
Learn more about residents’ conditions.
Our Agile support team
Our Agile team supports the delivery of health and social care research in the wider community setting. They work with care homes and social care organisations to help them deliver research to improve treatments and care for service users, as well as improve environments for those working in the field.
