Research Inclusion
Our team is committed to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion across CRN East of England's research, systems and culture.
Our Strategic Vision for Research Inclusion
We are working with key experts to further develop our region's strategic vision for equality, diversity & inclusion (EDI), first set out in our 2022/23 Strategic Objectives. By actively listening to those central to the EDI experience, we can equip our team with essential skills and evolve our practice to ensure an adaptable, sustainable and robust approach.
Embedding EDI across NIHR will help us:
foster an inclusive environment
engage the talents and energy of diverse people in all areas of our work
improve the relevance and quality of our research
This Research Inclusion web area
The aim of this web area is to enable us to share learnings, information and resources with Partner Organisations to ensure we can grow together with EDI at the heart of everything we do.

The aim of the toolkit is to:
Improve EDI in your research portfolios, reach under-served groups, and aid the placement of studies in areas across the region.
Equip delivery teams with the skills and knowledge to better understand diverse groups of participants and service users as well as understand the barriers they face when accessing health and care research.
Help participants and service users to understand health and care research as well as make it more accessible.
If you and/or your organisation have any resources you would like to be considered for the EDI Toolkit, please contact: crneoe.studysupport@nihr.ac.uk
