Join Dementia Research provides people with an opportunity to take part in vital dementia studies. Taking part in research not only helps future generations who might be affected by dementia, but can offer hope and support to those living with the condition now.
The NIHR Research Delivery Network is committed to increasing the number of people with dementia participating in research.
Join Dementia Research is a service which allows people to register their interest in participating in dementia research and to potentially be matched to a suitable study. The service is aimed at people with dementia and their carers: but anyone can volunteer, as long as they are over the age of 18.
You can also sign up for someone else, providing that you have their consent.
Join Dementia Research was developed by the NIHR in partnership with Alzheimer Scotland, Alzheimer’s Research UK and Alzheimer’s Society.
Volunteers can take part in a variety of trials, not just testing new treatments. This is a quick overview of the range of trials patients and the public can take part in.
Whatever your role in East of England RRDN, you can become a Join Dementia Research Champion and help us to promote Join Dementia Research across the region, or just in your local work area.
