The East of England RRDN Finance team ensures that all the correct funding and costing is in place to allow research to happen. We make sure that all studies, vacancies and invoices are correctly processed and logged.
We work closely with partner organisations, providing the national RDN Coordinating Centre with reports on funding usage and quarterly financial returns.
A key aspect of our role is to manage the allocation of funding given to the region from the RDN Coordinating Centre. In collaboration with study leads, Research Delivery Managers and other staff, we ensure that we achieve a balanced budget.
Another important aspect is vacancy approval, certifying funding for posts and signing-off on staff positions. The East of England RRDN Finance team also work closely with our host teams at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH).
We also manage budget allocation and forecasting for host-based staff costs, expenses and overheads.
