Dementia research in the East of England: World Alzheimer's Day, Tuesday 21 September 2021

We hosted an online event on 'Dementia research in the East of England' with the team at Cambridge and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT) on World Alzheimer's Day 2021 in September. The event featured talks from some of the leading dementia researchers from the Trust, along with experts from the University of Cambridge and the University of East Anglia.

We recorded the talks and you can now watch each of them on YouTube:

Part 1: Dr Ben Underwood from CPFT, who talks about Alzheimer’s clinical trials and how to join dementia research.

Part 2: Dr Shahid Zaman and Shemaya Hurd-Thomas from the University of Cambridge, who talk about Alzheimer’s in Down’s Syndrome research.

Part 3: Professor Eneida Mioshi from the University of East Anglia, who talks about the NIHR ARC East of England/Alzheimer’s Society research study results.

Part 4: Professor Chris Fox from the University of East Anglia, who talks about the PERFECTED project results and UEA research database.

Part 5: Dr Jane Cross from the University of East Anglia, who talks about the Carecoach programme - hybrid care for carers of people with dementia.
