Publication of NIHR research data 

External publication* of all NIHR Portfolio research data, including recruitment and study numbers, must be approved in writing by: 

• the funder

• the sponsor

• the NIHR

Our CRN East of England Communications team can help you to obtain all necessary approvals if needed.

*In this context, 'external publication' means the sharing of information with anyone outside your own research team. 

Sharing of 2020/21 Annual Data

As of Spring 2020, publication of NIHR Portfolio research data which draws comparisons with other organisations/regions is deemed inappropriate in light of the impact of the pandemic. Therefore, all CRN funded staff are advised to seek guidance from our CRN East of England Communications team before sharing any data with external stakeholders .

NIHR Data Sharing 

The NIHR's statement on the sharing of research data applies to research studies where all of the research costs (as defined by AcoRD) are funded by the NIHR. This includes studies in receipt of research costs through any NIHR scheme (e.g. NIHR Academy, programmes, infrastructure, etc).
