Creator+ is an additional tool in Brightspace that allows users to create advanced and interactive course content quickly and easily.
To add a Creator+ Practice or Element, you will need to do the following:
Go to any tool where the HTML Editor is (Create a file, description field, etc.)
Select the Plus Icon (Other Insert Options)
Click on Insert Practice to create and insert a Practice
Click on Insert Element to create and insert an Element
Creator+ comes with a suite of new interactive elements that you can add anywhere you use the HTML Editor. This can include new files, description fields, and more! Here are the Elements you can create and use:
Adding images to your Elements in Creator+ is a great way to elevate your creations and increase learner engagement. However, it is important to know how images react with the various Elements to ensure the images are displaying correctly. Please see the table below for information on how you should use images in each Element.
Creator+ also comes with new knowledge check features called Practices. These Practices are similar to Elements, however, their main purpose is to make sure a user understands the content instead of scrolling through. Unfortunately, Practices cannot be assessed yet, however, this option is coming soon. Here are the Practices you can create and use:
Adding images to your Practices in Creator+ is a great way to display information and help learners engage with your Practice. However, it is important to know how images react with the various Practices to ensure the images are displaying correctly. Please see the table below for information on how you should use images in each Practice.
Go the HTML Editor where you placed the Practice or Element
Select the Practice or Element
Click on the Pencil Icon (Edit) below the item
Yes, you can add as many Elements or Practices as you would like.
Yes, you can add Feedback for if a student was overall correct, and if a student was overall incorrect. The feedback will display to the student once they have completed the Practice. Please note that this will need to be general feedback.
Unfortunately, if you started to create a Practice but decide to switch to a new Practice type, the current work you did will not move to the new Practice.
