You can Email individual students or your instructor or email your entire class with just a few clicks. For more information on Classlist, check out D2L's documentation here.
Note: Email in Brightspace is send-only. You must navigate to your NICC Gmail to see your email inbox.
Emailing In Brightspace
Using the Email Tool
Select the Message Button (mail icon) in the Navbar at the top of the screen
Select Email
Enter in the email of the person you wish to email
Enter in your message
(Optional) add an attachment or Video Note
Select Send when Done
Email a Classmate Using Classlist
In the course you share with the person you wish to email, select Classlist
Select the dropdown next to the person and select Send Email
Enter in your message
(Optional) Add an attachment or Video Note
Click Send when done
Email Multiple Classmates Using Classlist
In the course you share with the classmates you wish to email, select Classlist
Check the checkboxes next to the names of the classmates you wish to email
Select Email at the top of the class list when you have selected all of the classmates you wish to email
Enter in your message
(Optional) Add an attachment or Video Note
Click Send when done
Note: This will add everyone to the BCC field and they will not be able to see each other's replies
It is not recommended to send an email to your entire class unless instructed to do so by your instructor.
