Indian Hemp

Apocynum cannabinum

Greenish- white flowers, smaller than the preceding two species; lowest leaves rounded at the base, distinctly stalked. stems usually more erect than those of the two preceding species.

Distribution: North America, shores and thickets 

Uses: The roots are used for heart stimulants. Mashed leaves are used for rheumatism and applied to wounds. A charm is made with the plant to be used against 'bad medicine' or evil influence.
