BACKGROUND: Most samples in a person’s house can be classified either an acid, base, or neutral. These three divisions have distinct characteristics. These characteristics can be identified by various tests. One of the most common tests is grouping the samples base on the pH level. One of the oldest methods is using pH paper and looking at the color change. This change results from the reaction of the conjugate acid and/or base that is infused into the test paper.
PROCEDURE:
1. Obtain household samples.
2. Test the samples with the pH paper and record results.
