Reference point=

The starting point you chose to describe the location, or position, of an object.

Position=

The object’s distance and direction from the reference point.

Motion=

The process of changing position.

Displacement=

The difference between the initial or starting position and the final position.

Speed=

The measure of distance an object travels in a given amount of time.

*Acceleration=

The change of speed over a change in time.

Velocity=

The speed and direction of a moving object.

Vector=

The quantity that measures both magnitude and direction of the object.
