Lino cut (finished)
Lino print 1st draft
Final lino print
First trace on the printed picture.
Continued the trace at the back of the paper.
Coloured the portrait with colour pencils.
Traced the portrait onto a lino using a marker.
After tracing the portrait using a marker, I actually cut out all the white parts and printed the first print 4 times(this process did not go very well as there was still a lot of white spots in the print). But i still proceeded to cut out my face for the second prints.
First background test print. It did not go very well as there were still a lot of white spots in the print. I suspect it is because the blue is very dry and does not print onto the paper easily.
I then tried to use pink instead. The result was much better.
However, the pink ran out and I decided to switch back to blue since some of my friends tried blue again and the result turned out better. Indeed, the print this time was much more solid, but I was still not satisfied. I gave up on blue and switched to green to print on the brown.
However, my print was completely ruined when I was trying to align the print on the template as the print moved and smudged on the brown. As a result, I had to resort to using my second best brown print(which isn't very solid).
The colour was very solid, but I wasn't satisfied as there were smudges of paint in the background
This time, there was much less paint smudges on the background, but there were quite a few smudges on the face, so I decided to do one last test print
There was much less paint smudges on the face and in the background for this test print, so I decided to do my final print.
Both the green and the black were very solid, but as I said earlier, I had to resort to using my second best brown print(which isn't very solid), since the best one was completely ruined.
