Lino sketch Lino Drawing Print
Pre-printmaking stage
Colour scheme. I chose cut white print green, cut blue print green and cut green print black.
This is the sketch of portrait on paper
I forgot to take picture of the flipped sketch without colour so I flipped the original sketch to replace it.
The drawing of lino on the print. I didnt take a picture of a pre cut one but this is the lino after cutting white.
Print 1. The first print was bad as I didnt cut the eyes and mouth and the colour was not solid.
Print 2. After I cut the eyes, I didnt realise I didnt cut the mouth and the colour was still not solid.
Print 3. The colour was finally solid and I realise I didnt cut the mouth.
Print 4. After I cut the mouth and print, it turned out well.
Print 5. I did another print so I would get 3 good prints.
Print 6. After doing test prints, I printed my second layer on the first layer
Test prints: I did 2 test prints. For the first one some parts didnt have a solid colour so I went to test print again and for the second test print I got a solid colour
Final cut: I cut out the background for final print
First final print: The ink was too less so there was no solid colour
Second final print: The ink was still not enough so there were still a lot of white spots.
Final print: I put more ink but the print turn out to still have a little bit of white spots. Though the final print is not perfect but I still enjoyed printing and it was a fruitful experience.
