Step 1: Lino Sketch
Draft/Sketch of my line drawing of cat on a piece of paper
Step 3: Completed Lino Cut
Completed carving out the sketch on lino and ready for printing
Lino Print 1
I used my lino cut to print my lino drawing on a white piece of paper although there was a lot of white spots but i learn how to improve from it
Lino Print 2
I used paint/ink to print my lino drawing on a piece of white paper and after some editing and carving this is the final work
step 1: I chose a picture of myself and printed it out in black and white. Afterwards, I traced over it, shading the areas I will be cutting out later on the lino
Step 2: I shaded the picture out in 3 different distinct colors , pink, beige and black which shows my skin the shadow and the background
Step 3: After transferring the sketch, I went over it with permanent marker and I had to fill in the empty space below before I started cutting the lino.
I first cut out the white parts and printed the first print with the colour yellow
first print
second print
third print
I printed the background color on my real lino print and it was all quite alright although there is some of the white details to be covered by the facial features in green.
This was done badly is the colors were similar and there was a lot of of spots which make the facial feature to be very different from the initial drawing
This was my first full print although it was up to standard but it was very cool to see it coming out although there was a lot of white holes
fourth print
last print
there was a lot of improvement compared to the previous print. the holes was smaller but was still very visible
this is the best print with the least number of white spots and the facial features is the clearest
Summary: I see that there is many holes and the colors sometimes dont match or it leaked so due to all these human errors causes these to be not as pretty as expected.
