Original outlined portrait, simple and easy step
Outlined the original portrait on the backside of the paper, so as to make transfering an easier process.
Transfered the print onto the linoprint with carbon paper.
It was quite hard for the pencil marks to get onto the linoprint, it required a good amount of strength with a ballpoint pen.
Colour scheme, decided what colours I wanted my face and background to be. Make the cutting process smoother.
First print, some cuts were not deep enough, there was still unplanned lines on the prints, my prints always had like watermarks on it.
Second print cut, was quite fun but was abit hard to ensure that the lino was cut deep enough. Made a mistake by not cutting my teeth during the first cutting process. Cutting was still a very fun process.
Second print, still had unwanted lines on the print, left side of the lino always happened to have less paint, had to print over again. Had troubles printing my hair properly too.
Last print cut, alot easier to cut then the previous two because there were alot less fine places to cut.Â
Final print, black was quite hard to print properly, unwanted lines still appeared even after I tried to cut deeper. Overall, this linoprint process was really fun and enjoyable, thank you.
