PORTRAIT LINO PRINT
Trace the portrait and add in extra details to the face. Afterwards, use a light box and draw the reverse onto another side of the paper
Choose a colour scheme, and colour the portrait.
Trace the portrait onto a lino print
After doing the colour scheme, carve out the white parts.
After carving it out, print the lino yellow.
Do a few more prints as you might fail in some of the prints
After printing a few prints that you are satisfied with, carve out the parts that is yellow and print it pink (test print)
After the test print, you can make some changes to the lino print base on the test print. With pink ink on the lino print, print it again onto the first yellow print on the same paper. (focus on the background)
Next, carve out the pink parts of the lino print.
Using black paint, do a test print to see whether you are satisfied with the cutting.
Lastly, use black paint to ink over the actual piece of work. If you realise that the black parts are too patchy, you can ink again until you are satisfied.
