step 1:

sketch design on paper

step 2:

outline and cut lino print

self portrait linocut

step 1: take a self portrait and trace it

step 2: re-trace the self portrait on the other side of the paper and choose a colour scheme

step 3: transfer the reversed self portrait onto the linoprint and outline it with permanent marker

step 4: carve out the white parts of your colour scheme and print the first colour 3-5 times

step 5: carve out the parts of your colour scheme with the first colour. test print the second colour 3-5 times until the carved areas are clear before printing on the first colour

step 6: carve out the parts of the colour scheme with the second colour. test print black until carved areas are clear

step 7: print black over first and second colours (finished)
