Leaf lino print progressionÂ
First, I sketched out of leaf of my own design.
Then, I transferred it over to the lino. (accidentally transferred to the wrong side
Final print
My self portrait lino print
Since my portrait was quite symmetrical, I did not need to flip my portriat over. Thus this was relatively easy to do.
Colour scheme, i chose blue and orange because i like those colours.
1st colour print ( I only cutted out the white parts of the colour scheme)
actually the 1st colour print i made was quite good thanks to the reminders of the teachers.
2nd attempt was quite bad as i never printed it out with more colour.
3rd attempt was also quite a disaster as i never pressed the print properly.
4th and final attempt was finally an okay print, felt good as i done it myself
2nd colour print (After the 1st colour print, I cutted the face using a knife)
1st attempt, the details are not quite there but i tried my best.
2nd attempt, slightly improved artwork but the hairline looks abit messy.
3rd colour print (After the 2nd colour, I cutted out the background)
Firstly, i did a print with black colour.
1st attempt, the background is quite bad but the details are roughly there.
2nd attempt, quite okay print but got alot of black spots around the painting.
Final thoughts: though I did not get to do alot of prints due to the lack of time and experience that I have, I learnt alot in the process not just about the lino prints but also to never give up even if your results did not turn out the way I wanted it to be.
