drawing
final cut
1st lino print
2nd lino print
1) I took a picture of myself and printed it out. Then I outlined it and shaded the mirror image of the outlined picture.
It was quite dull to draw the drawing multiple times, and I found it quite troublesome.
2)Transfered my mirrored picture onto linoprint using a blue permanent marker.
The process of colouring the shaded part was smooth, so I was able to finish it faster than my friends. It ws a little tiring to do it and sometimes the ink would stain my fingers, making it very blue.
3)cutting out the yellow parts
I chose yellow as the skin colour.
It is really time-consuming to carve on the lino cut as I have to cut in an area multiple times to ensure it to be deep enough so the paint wouldn't stain on the carved part.It was also really easy for my fingers to get cut as I always carve the lino in the wrong way unconsciously.
4)1st Lino cut print.
I only have this much as I did not complete my linoprint.
It was quite successful in my opinion.
It was quite a pity that I wasn't able to finish my work and see the end product, as I got positive and had to stay at home.
