Golisano Children's Hospital in the City of Syracuse, New York

On October 6th, Liverpool High School will be hosting Paige's Pajama-Rama to all Liverpool students who want to participate. On Friday, students can wear their Pajamas to school if they bring in a donation for Paige’s Pajama-Rama. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Golisano Children's Hospital for cancer research and treatment.

In recent years LHS has held the title of donating the most amount of money to Golisano, however last year the title was taken by CNS. There is a plaque given to the school that donates the most amount of money, this year Liverpool is hoping to take back the title, get our plaque back, and more importantly, give back to those in our community who need all the help they can get.

Golisano Children's Hospital opened its doors in 2009, and has since then treated over 100,000 people a year. The hospital staff has devoted their lives to the treatment and care of children battling with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.

Cancer treatment has evolved rapidly in the last decade, as scientists and doctors work tirelessly towards a cure to this terrible disease. Even with the cruelty of cancer the world has been able to treat more and more people, and improve screenings to catch it early.

Friday being the final day of spirit week leading up to the homecoming dance and game, students can start their day by donating to a good cause and having a little fun before the big night. Wear your pajamas on Friday, October 6th to honor those who have to.
