Who would have thought books would now become a popular trend? Well we have Tiktok to thank for that. Tiktok has managed to make a resurgence of how people receive books.
This is partly due to what is known as “BookTok” where creators share their favorite books to get people to read it. What was once known as a boring pass time is getting people to go to Barnes and Noble to spend their latest paycheck.
Youtuber: Sarah Carrolli and many Youtubers haved started reviewing "BookTok" on their own platforms.
It has shown many people that a book isn't just like the boring ones you have to read in school, so you can pass the course, but something you can enjoy and wish for more.

Many authors have been lucky enough to catch the eyes of “BookTok” to have their sales skyrocket. Then also making movies and series out of these books on streaming services such as Netflix, Prime, Hulu, HBO, Peacock, and more.
The Shadow and Bone is a booktok book that caught the eyes of Netflix and was made into a show last year. The second season of Shadow and Bone will be out in 2023.
The sequel series of: It Ends With Us just officially came out October 18th, and is called: It Starts With Us. It has already been selling out fast due to the large fan base!
Some of these lucky authors have been: Colleen Hoover with most of her books, but the most popular of them all being: It Ends with Us about struggle and perseverance through hardships in life. Now I don’t want to say what the struggle is because it will spoil the story for those who haven't gotten the chance to read it. She has been the most popular to skyrocket off the app with selling more books than the bible this year already!
Another series that has created a platform due to Tiktok is The Inheritance Games by: Jennifer Lynn Barnes. This story is about a girl that inherits 46.2 billion dollars, but doesn’t know why and she has to search through clues that the billionaire left before he died to figure it out. It’s a very risky gamble!
Jennifer Lynn Barnes just announced that she is making a book based on the Hawthorne brothers of the series and people are suspecting that it will focus on Grayson and Jameson Hawthorne out of the four brothers, and is slated to come out August 29, 2023
Lastly another book that skyrocketed was Shatter Me by: Tahereh Mafi. The story is set in a dystopian world in sector 45 where this girl finds out if she touches a person she can kill them and it shows her struggles to deal with her power.

Now there are many more books that have caught the eyes of “BookTok”, but that was just a few of the most popular ones. If I were to rate these books I would get them a five out of five for each one they are all beautifully written.

Some recommendations that I have read from "Booktok" :
The Shatter Me Series - 5/5 (now it is a very lengthy series, so might not be the best if you want a light read book)
The Caraval Series- 5/5 (If I ever wanted a book to become into a movie it would be this series)
The Inheritance Games- 4/5 (now I gave this one a 4/5 due to the last books ending and I felt the ending of the series was very much incomplete and one character specifically was left out wrong and not written that good)
Any Colleen Hoover Book- 5/5 (if you want a book to cry to and have a big shock factor this author is for you!)
Red Queen Series - 3/5 (now I gave this a 3/5 because after the first book I got bored and felt like the book series was dragging on)
The Folk of The Air Series- 5/5 (also know as the Cruel Prince Series, now if your going into this think its about romance then yeah you won't really like it, but never have I seen such a strong female lead character in a book like this one)
