Five More Nights

We’ve all needed jobs in hard times, and taking up a minimum-wage night security job seems amazing, until the power goes out. Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF) is a horror video game series consisting of nine mainline entries that follow a security guard who must spend five nights in an 80s-themed child entertainment restaurant franchise and recently, a movie has been released.

Originally released in 2014, the game quickly rose to fame despite creator Scott Cawthon's previous game not going as well.

The first talks of a movie began in April 2015, just shy of a year after the launch of the game. Initially, Warner Brothers took up the task, however it was pushed back for unknown reasons. Despite the movie continuously getting pushed back, the second, third, and fourth FNAF games were released and saw similar success to the original.

With the release of the 2021 game, Security Breach, the movie was announced to be back on, this time for good.

Filming began in February of 2023 with Blumhouse and concluded in April, with the announcement date of the film being October 27, 2023. There have been early showings for popular content creators of the series and actors of the movie. While the film deviates from the storyline of the game it has already received extensive praise from Fazbear fans everywhere. This could due to a number of game references, such as the iconic “It’s me,” and even a fan song in the end credits.

With how quickly the series rose to fame, with its foreboding secret, it is no wonder why the film has been so hyped up for the past few years, even before the official filming announcement.

With a runtime of one hour and fifty minutes, the movie has been projected to make at least $50 Million on release day. With how quickly the series rose to fame, with its foreboding secret, it is no wonder why the film has been so hyped up for the past few years, even before the official filming announcement. Fans can join Fazbear and his friends for a bite! You can find this movie at your local cinema and see if you could survive Five Nights at Freddy’s.
