American football star, Travis Kelce, and American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift are allegedly dating.
Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs expressed his interest for Swift on his Podcast New Heights with his brother, Jason- the center of the Philadelphia Eagles.
In July, he attended Swift’s world renowned “Eras Tour” and like every other fan, he brought a homemade friendship bracelet to go along with it. However, this was no ordinary bracelet spelling out the words to an album or song, this bracelet had beads reading his phone number and he planned to give it to Swift, in an attempt to woo her. His plan was unsuccessful as Swift was unable to speak with him, before or after the concert due to the decision to be on vocal rest outside of her performances.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings." Kelce claims
Since then, the two have been reportedly seen together at a members only bar in NYC, “Zero Bond”. While there is no photographic proof of this, that bar is where Swift is photographed the most by paparazzi, and the same bar in which Kelce was recently photographed in.
When rumors started flooding the media early September, Kelce declined to comment further. “I said what I said. And I meant what I said when I said it. And you know what, it is what it is, I’m not gonna talk about my personal life.”
Both subtle and obvious hints have been dropped such as necklaces and song references. September 8th, Swift was spotted wearing an Opal necklace- which also happens to be Kelce’s birthstone. September 17th, when having scored his first touchdown of the season in a game between the Chiefs and the Jaguars, announcer Ian Eagle alluded to the billboard hit “Blank Space,” saying,“Kelce finds a blank space for the score!”
While evidence of a relationship between the two is not concrete, there is no doubt that there is something going on between the pair, and I look forward to seeing how this alleged relationship progresses.
