About Me

Hello and welcome to East Elementary!! My name is Terri Vaughn, and I am the Elementary District Librarian for Lubbock-Cooper. This means I get the privilege of working not only with the amazing students here at East but all elementary students across our district. With this being said, unfortunately, you won’t find me at East daily, but I do look forward to the days I get to spend here!! This year starts my twenty-ninth year in education and my twentieth in Lubbock-Cooper. I am also an instructor for the College of Education at Texas Tech University, teaching future teachers….Go Raiders!! 

Although I was born in New York, I have called Texas my home for most of my life. I moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech and have been here ever since. I’ve been married to my husband Monty for 7 years, and between us, we have six children who all went through Lubbock-Cooper schools as well. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, serving the youth at my church, anything Texas Tech sports, camping/lake time, and ‘vegging’ with Netflix!
