We are excited to announce that our East Elementary 3rd-5th grade students will participate in Battle of the Books. In our innagural year, students will read a selection of 10 books along with partners on their team of four. Teams will then compete against others on our campus to be crowned East Elementary BoB Champions! 

The top four teams will then advance to the district competition, where our students will go head-to-head with students from Lubbock-Cooper West Elementary and Lubbock-Cooper Central Elementary. 

Students in grades 3-5 will be invited to attend an informational meeting in the early fall and will sign up to participate as part of a team. Then, the reading will begin! Students will compete on our campus in late February and advance to the district contest on March 1, 2024.
