My WHY:
I believe that trust is the most important characteristic in a relationship. It’s important to me that people know they can trust me to follow through with what I say I’m going to do.
My goal this year is to have deep and meaningful relationships with my students and peers built on the foundation of trust.
About Me
My name is Kelly Folsom. I am starting my 13th year with LCISD as a Special Education teacher. I taught at Cooper North for 7 years. I was then blessed to move to Cooper East when it opened as an RLA resource teacher. I've been married to my husband, Kody for 22 years. We have 3 children: Dakota, Dusty and Cate. We have a precious grandson, Krew. He is our pride and joy. I enjoy cruising, attending Christian concerts, watching reality tv and spending time with my friends and family.
I believe that it is important to create meaningful relationships with each of my students, before I can expect them to learn from me. Our classroom is always a safe place where they can be themselves. We will always celebrate growth, no matter how big or small! "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop." -Confucius
