My WHY:
I believe that success happens when you have the mindset that there is always more to learn. I find pure enjoyment in the act of learning and immersing myself in something new. I relish the small details in life and am fascinated by the depths and complexities of various topics of interest and people alike.
My goal this year is to continue to grow and learn as an educator and to develop deep relationships with each of my students. It is my hope that building these relationships will allow me to pass on my love of learning to those around me.
About Me
My name is Katelyn Conover and I serve in the role of K-5 Academic Interventionist here at East Elementary. This will be my second year in this role. Before moving into this position, I taught 5th grade Math and Science at both East since it's opening in 2018. Prior to this, I also taught at North Elementary and Miles ISD. This will be my tenth year in education.
I have been married to my husband, Raul, for 6 years. We have a 4 year old son, Harrison, who attends Pre-K at East. We are excited to welcome a second baby boy to our family in October. We love to spend our free time traveling, enjoying time outdoors, and hosting game nights.
I am excited for another great year at East Elementary!
