My WHY:
I believe that trust is the driving characteristic behind everything I stand for. I look to do things correctly simply because that’s what a trusted person would do. I work hard to be the one people can count on.
My goal for this year is to create a safe and encouraging environment for learners to feel comfortable in experimenting with language and expressing themselves.
About Me
My name is Danielle Perez, but I go by Danie. I am super excited to have the privilege to be a part of East Elementary. This is my first year working for East, but I have been a Lubbock-Cooper parent for many years! I was born and raised in Lubbock, and my husband, Chris, and I have FOUR boys. My oldest is 18 and is a 2023 graduate from Lubbock Cooper High School. My stepson is 17 and is a senior at Frenship. My two youngest are 12 and 5, and both attend LCP. My family loves to watch sports! We are fans of Texas Tech, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, San Antonio Spurs, WWE Wrestling, boxing, Cooper Pirate athletics, and of course, Patrick Mahomes and his Chiefs.
Before coming to East, I worked at Lubbock-Cooper West, along with other schools in this area. For the past 9 years, I have mostly taught 3rd-5th Reading and Language Arts, and I am extremely thrilled to get to work as an ESL teacher. I am looking forward to this coming school year and getting to serve the East community!
