My WHY:
I believe in contributing to a greater cause. I want to make a difference in the lives of others. I love to support others, and I strive for success that leads to a greater good. I seek to add value in everything that I do and I am often referred to as the “go-to” person.
My goal this year is to work closely with my coworkers and students to help them achieve, what seems to be unachievable.
About Me
I am so excited to begin my 6th year as a Resource Math teacher in elementary education. I have been at East Elementary since we opened the doors in the Fall of 2018. I am beginning my 12th year in education overall, my eleventh year at Lubbock Cooper ISD. I spent 6 years at the high school level, where I taught Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Math Models, Math Topics and Techniques, Resource Math 9th - 12th grade, coached and did math inclusion. I have loved every minute of teaching at Lubbock-Cooper and look forward to continuing to help my students learn, grow, and become more confident every day in being mathematicians.
I am blessed to have a wonderful furry child named Zephaniah. He and I passed five obedience classes and a therapy dog test for him to come to school and work with my students. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and my beautiful niece Adaline. I absolutely love swimming with my mom and playing golf with my dad. My favorite teams are Lubbock Christian University, Texas Tech, and the Dallas Cowboys!!
