My WHY:
I believe in including everyone by clarifying and explaining things for all learners. My passion is to make a way for everyone to understand and feel accepted.
My goal this year is to cultivate a fun classroom environment where my students feel successful and acquire a love for learning.
About Me
I am excited to begin my 16th year of teaching! This will be my 9th year at Lubbock-Cooper. I have taught three years as a 1st-grade general education teacher and the rest of my career in elementary special education. I have taught ECSE (early childhood special education), self-contained special education K-5, and resource. I have a heart for building relationships with each child and unlocking a passion for learning.
I am a mom of 3 and love that my kids also attend Lubbock-Cooper ISD. My oldest, Ambree (13), will be an 8th grader at Lubock-Cooper Middle School. My middle child, Madison (10), will be at East in 4th grade, and my youngest, Zeke (6), will be at East as a 1st grader. My family loves to be outdoors. We love going camping, hiking, kayaking, and being lake bums every chance we can. If you can't find me, I am probably drinking my coffee, reading a book by the fire, or at the lake.
