About Me

Hello! My name is Connie Velardez, I am extremely excited to teach third grade at Lubbock Cooper East starting this year! I have taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades at Frenship ISD. This is my 17th year in education. I attended Wayland Baptist University where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration. 

My husband Robby and I have been married for 29 years. We have a daughter, Meghan and a son, Nick. They are both Texas Tech Red Raiders. In our spare time we love to attend TTU and MLB baseball games. We also a have a Golden Retriever, her name is Maggie! 

My goal is to provide a safe learning environment where all students are successful socially and academically. I look forward to meeting my students and families to begin establishing positive and caring relationships!
