My WHY:
I believe that success happens when relationships are based upon trust. I work hard to create an environment in my classroom where students feel safe to be themselves. I strive to be a person that both my students and my coworkers can trust to genuinely support them each day.
About Me
Welcome to East! I am excited to start my sixth year at East Elementary in a new role as technology teacher! I have spent the majority of my teaching career as a fourth or fifth grade science teacher. Before I started my time here at East, I was at Lubbock-Cooper North, and before that, I taught in Lubbock ISD and Frenship. I love my Lubbock-Cooper family and I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given here!
I’ve been married to my amazing husband, James, for 27 years. He’s the manager at the Science Spectrum. We have three almost grown kids that make us very proud. Our daughter, Abbey, is 24 and is finishing her degree through West Texas A&M University while starting a career with Farmers Insurance. Our son Daniel (19) is a cadet Private in the Norwich University Corps of Cadets. He plans to commission as an officer in the Marines once he graduates. Our son, Cooper (16) is a sophomore at Trinity High School where he plays baseball.
