My WHY:
I believe in contributing to a greater cause. I want to make a difference in the lives of others. I love to support others, and relish success that leads to the greater good. I seek to add value in everything that I do.
My goal this year is to help students find value in themselves, their peers, and in their efforts.
About Me
My name is Kylie Voss and I get to be one of the 5th grade Science and Social Studies teachers! I started my career in education with Lubbock-Cooper at Central Elementary as a Behavior TA and have been an LCP Pirate for 7 years now. When our lovely East opened up, I had the privilege of joining as the Behavior Teacher. From 2019 to 2023 I taught first grade here at East!
I am from a small West Texas town in Borden County, Gail (if you blink, you’ll miss it). I played basketball, track, tennis, cross-country, and cheer. Along with sports, I was a member of 4-H and FFA. Within both organizations, I participated in many different competitions like: food shows, fashion shows, livestock judging/showing, speech, quiz, radio, and photography. A few of my favorite things now are working out (lifting, boxing hiit, etc.), visiting home and helping with our small cattle operation, Texas Tech basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
