My WHY:
I believe that success happens when I contribute to a greater cause. How I do that is by making things clear and understandable. Ultimately what I bring is a trusting relationship where others can count on me.
My goal this year is to cultivate a love of learning in a safe, positive and trusting environment.
About Me
Well, hello there!! My name is Susan Turner and I am starting my 16th year in Education. I was welcomed into the Pirate family by our fearless leader Dr. Cross in 2017. I taught 2 years at Central before finding my home at East. This will be the start of my 5th year here and let me tell you East is the place to be!! Prior to Lubbock-Cooper, my teaching career started in Tulia. I taught Pre-K and Kindergarten for 9 years.
I have been married to my husband Dee for 6 years. He is a lifelong resident of Lubbock. I'm sure you possibly know him. I feel like he knows everyone and hardly meets a stranger. We have two beautiful babes. Addison will be in Kindergarten this year. She loves reading, singing, and making up her own songs, soccer, swimming, being creative, and being silly are among her favorites. Luke is 3 and will be joining our Pirate family this year. He loves reading, Paw Patrol, animals, swimming, singing, dancing, and acting silly but especially loves Dinosaurs. The T-Rex is his favorite.
I love spending time with my family, watching Texas Tech football, reading and selling SCENTSY. I can't wait to meet your little one and look forward to an amazing school year. GO PIRATES!!
