The Street Party
Phase 3 students at Milestone at The Leigh also celebrated the Coronation. These photos are further down on this page.
All our hard work paid off as it was a huge success with 80 family guests and visits from different members of staff from around the school.
Students at the satellite had two opportunities to celebrate the Coronation. On Wednesday 10th May we had an afternoon of fun with a coronation spin on some classic garden games. These included: Egg and Spoon race (blue team v red team!); 'CROWN' football; Pin the Nose on the King; Coronation Musical Chairs; and Design your Gingerbread King (and orb!). The three classes divided the tasks of planning the games, creating decorations, and making formal invitations.
The next day, we were invited to take part in the Coronation celebration afternoon at The Leigh Academy. Our students had an opportunity to enjoy some ice cream and try their luck and skills at a varity of carnival games. It was a great afternoon and the rainy weather held off just enough for us to enjoy our time outside.
