Students from Year 11 visit Bore Place in Chiddingstone as part of their work experience. They participate in lots of outdoor learning and work type activities.
Students from phase 3 used shaving foam and food colouring to create a marbled effect Valentines card.
Everyone followed the safety rules around the campfire and really enjoyed the 'smores'. The countryside stayed safe, as Alfie ensured the flames were out.
Students made paper boats and then raced them in the river by dropping them from the bridge. After lunch, students made hand print tulips.
I can use gardening tools safely to prune plants.
I can use a rolling pin to create a clay plaque.
I can push the flowers into the clay to create a 'Wild Flower Plaque'
Phase 3 worked together using life skills to make a scarecrow for the Bore Place Garden that supplies local shops with vegetables
Phase 3 spent our first visit to Bore Place familiarising ourselves with the new learning environment. We transitioned around the farm exploring different things as we went. We smelt herbs, tasted lettuce, felt and smashed cold ice, removed seeds from wild flowers and planted new flowers by throwing the seeds, played pooh sticks and then finished off the day with a play in the park.
