How We Express Ourselves.
Central Idea:
Communication connects thoughts and choices.
Lines of Inquiry:
An inquiry in how we use different types of communication to express ourselves, share big ideas, and change how others think.
An inquiry in how we can confidently stand up for our own needs and choices while respecting the rights of the people around us.
An inquiry in how understanding different perspectives helps us care for others and build a fair, inclusive community.
A great start to the year, the students have enjoyed getting back into school routines and have enjoyed learning.
I can use my face and body language to show different emotions. Looking very serious, maybe angry. the students were able to show a rainbow of different emotions. In Performing Arts
In Science the students have been learning about the skeleton. They have learned the bones of the human body.
In Music they have been learning about different genre's of music.
Week 3
In Pe this week we were working towards being able to pass with accuracy in tag rugby.
In music, the students have been working hard to be able to recognise the different genres. Also to be able to tell them apart. Blues and Country music did cause a little confusion for some. The different types were, Country, Blues, Rock and Soul.
In Science we were learning muscles in the human body. The students were learning to identify the voluntary and involuntary muscles in the human body.
In performing arts they were developing team work and and quick reactions.
I undertand how muscles and skeletons are connected by joints.
How we express ourselves.
I can pass with accuracy, was the learning objective, but with the last few moments of the lesson they have the chance to choose which equipment they would like to use.
