Welcome to Hermes Class, where we are all 'Happy Aspirational Learners'!
We are kicking off the new school year with our first transdisciplinary theme, How We Express Ourselves. This half-term, we are focusing on communication and helping students explore how expressing their ideas shapes their choices in class, at home, and across our wider community.
Learning will be hands-on and interactive—from using Numicon in Maths and Clicker 8 technology across the curriculum, to our very own Bake Off inspired by students' favorite snacks. We are also continuing our partnership with the NAG Memory Clinic and exploring the history of Sikhism from Punjab to Gravesend, including a planned visit to a local Gurdwara before Christmas.
Above all, our goal this half-term is to help students make thoughtful choices, understand their emotions, and build on their communication skills. I am so excited to share our journey with you!

Hermes class has had a wonderful first day back! We are so proud of our students, who arrived happy, calm and ready to learn.
Considering we started on a Tuesday, students transitioned to subject specialist lessons around the school really well, showed fantastic listening and found their routines with new staff and new class mates. We have a brilliant team who have worked so hard and gone above and beyond for our students.
